ABOUT BPIT 2026

The Borneo Pickleball International Tournament 2026 returns for its second edition after the success of the inaugural tournament held in 2024.

The previous edition attracted 42 teams and approximately 800 local and international players. Held once every two years, BPIT provides a competitive platform for pickleball players from Malaysia and abroad.

BPIT 2026 will feature Team Events and Individual Doubles Events across Open, Intermediate and Novice categories.

TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES

Team Event

The Team Event is limited to 24 teams. Each team must consist of 9 to 12 players, including the Team Manager.

  • Men’s Open Singles
  • Men’s Open Doubles
  • Women’s Open Doubles
  • Men’s Veteran Doubles (50+)
  • Mixed Open Doubles (Combined age 90+)

Individual Doubles

The tournament is open to Malaysian and non-Malaysian players aged 18 years and above.

  • Men’s Open Doubles
  • Women’s Open Doubles
  • Men’s Intermediate Doubles (DUPR 3.5 & below)
  • Women’s Intermediate Doubles (DUPR 3.5 & below)
  • Mixed Intermediate Doubles (DUPR 3.5 & below)
  • Mixed Novice Doubles (DUPR 2.0 & below)

* Each player may participate in a maximum of two categories in Team Event.
